Marrakech Menara Airport terminal at dusk

Marrakech airport taxi at night

A late arrival changes three things: the taxi fare, the bus, and how easy it is to find a riad. Here is what to expect after dark.

By the Medina Transfers team  ·  Updated 12 October 2026

Taxis wait outside Marrakech Menara Airport at all hours, but a night tariff applies: published figures give about 200 dirhams to the centre at night, against 100 to 150 dirhams by day. The airport bus no longer runs late in the evening.

What changes after dark

  • The taxi fare. The night tariff is legitimate. Sources place its start at 8pm or at 10pm. Agree the fare before the luggage goes in the boot.
  • The bus. Line 19 stops in the evening. See the bus 19 guide for its hours.
  • Group size. A petit taxi takes three passengers. A family of four or five needs two taxis, or one larger pre-booked vehicle.
  • Finding a riad. The lanes of the Medina are quiet and poorly signposted at night. A meeting point agreed in advance saves a long search. The airport to Medina page explains how the drop-off is planned.
