How to get from Marrakech airport to the Medina, step by step
- By private transfer: book online with your flight number and the name of your riad. The driver waits outside arrivals with your name, follows your flight and drives you to the gate closest to your riad. You pay a 50 % deposit online and the balance in cash to the driver at pick-up.
- By taxi: walk out of arrivals to the taxi rank. Agree the fare before the luggage goes in, pay cash in dirhams, and give the driver the name of your riad and the nearest gate or square.
- By bus 19: it runs in the daytime and evening, costs about 30 dirhams per person and stops on Jemaa el-Fna. From there you walk to your riad with your bags.
- By Uber: open the app after landing; the pick-up point may be outside the taxi area.

Going to Jemaa el-Fna
Jemaa el-Fna, the main square of the Medina, is closed to cars. Vehicles stop on its edge, by the Koutoubia side or at the Riad Zitoun entrance, a short walk from the square. If your riad is nearby, give us its name and we choose the closer of the two.
How a riad drop-off works
The Medina of Marrakech is a walled old town of narrow lanes. Cars can follow the walls and enter a few streets, but most riads are reached on foot. That is why the name of your riad matters more than a street address: with it, we choose the right access point before you land.
Common drop-off points are Bab Doukkala, Bab Laksour, Riad Zitoun near Jemaa el-Fna, and the Kasbah. From there the walk to most riads is a few minutes.
- Tell us the riad name in the booking form. We work out the closest point a vehicle can reach.
- Share the meeting point with your riad. Many riads send someone to walk you to the door when they know your arrival time.
- Arriving late at night? The lanes are quiet and poorly signposted after dark. A planned meeting point saves a long search with your bags.

Give us your flight number, the number of passengers and the name of your hotel or riad, then pay a 50 % deposit by PayPal. Your voucher arrives by e-mail; the balance is paid in cash to the driver at pick-up, in euros or dirhams.
Meet your driver outside arrivals
Your driver holds a board with your name. We follow your flight and wait up to 60 minutes after landing at no extra cost.
Ride to your door
A private, air-conditioned vehicle takes you straight to your hotel, or to the closest gate when your riad is in a car-free lane.
